Hi everyone!
I’m Laura Clauson and the face behind Mama Bleu Designs. I’ve had one creative business venture after another since I was in High School so I guess that officially qualifies me as a Creative Entrepreneur.
I started blogging in 2010 around the time I opened my Etsy shop. Over time, in the midst of life’s twists and turns, my original blog fell by the wayside.
Today that all changes and I’m breathing life back into my blog in its new home.
So, welcome to my blog! A place of connecting with you and sharing my knowledge and experiences of living a creative life, running a home based business and pursuing a career as a surface pattern designer.A little about me to get us started. I live in Southern California in a small town that has always been my home. I’ve been married for over 40 years to my best friend and we have 2 grown children who are married and we have 2 teenage grandchildren.
I love working and creating from my home studio and I’ve been fortunate enough to have the constant support of my husband to do that full time as a career.
I find my inspiration primarily from the flowers that are blooming around me. From the small flower garden in my yard to the colorful patches of landscape I walk or ride my bike by, there is always something grabbing my attention because of its floral beauty.
My love for art and creativity has never wavered and I’ve developed the ability to see extraordinary beauty in the ordinary things around me.
I believe there is magic in a garden that is life giving and joy filling!
I believe that we are all creative in our own unique ways. I wish we could all be child-like in our artistic expressions. No comparisons. No worries. Just playing and creating for the sake of expressing what is inside of us.My journey is still unfolding even after all these years. I will be sharing what I have learned and what I am currently learning as I pursue a fulfilling life as a creative entrepreneur. My hope is that by sharing these life lessons, you will be encouraged in some way as you pursue your own creative journey.
